Changing IP address

Tonight, in the middle of a show the Artnet IP address changed causing universe 1 to lose the dmx signal and freezing all lights in the current cue. Has anyone else encountered this issue and does anyone know what may have caused it

Operating system ? Let me guess: Windows...
You should definitely use static IP addresses when doing a show
