When I create the fixtures in the editor, everything works fine. But as soon as I select the fixture for the list, it always shows up as a "Dimmer". Regardless of what is selected (ie. color changer, moving head, etc.)

Welcome to the community,

Your screenshot shows me that your fixtures are inside a folder on your desktop... This isn't the right place for them.
Custom fixture definitions need to be inside the c:\users\[username]\QLC+\fixtures folder.

The other post said it was looked into and fixed.
For all the new fixtures I created recently, they all import into QLC+ as a dimmer. They are in the correct folder. Even when I go back into the editor and change the type, it always goes back to dimmer. It is driving me crazy. I appreciate any help.

Fixed upstream tells you it will be fixed in the new-to-come version, so it is not yet in production.
