Akai apc mini with QLC Plus

QLC does not recognize my akai apc mini. Under device manager in windows, i can see it as being connected to the computer but for some reason it doesn't light up and i can't get it to work with QLC. Is there a video on how to map it with QLC? im a newbie to dmx. any help will be greatly appreciated.
