Q Light Controller+

Hi guys,

long time no see - sorry for that, but I managed to come back for testing latest Beta3 of QLC+5!

First off all: I like how it developed and that the current state has already a lot of usable stuff. Love the touch-first approach and especially the 3d preview - outstanding!

I played around with it a bit and discovered some (in my opinion) unusual behavior (all of this has already been in Beta2 but unfortunately I had no time to report):

1) New Fixture not shown in device group view
Steps to reproduce:
- open new project
- add a new fixture by dragging it to 2d/3d view
- select "device groups" view on left bar -> the fixture does not show up, unless switching between channel and device properties

2) Selection sync between 2D view and device group view (The sync in general is great btw)
Steps to reproduce:
- Start with above project
- Deselect fixture
- switch between channel and device properties
- Select Fixture using 2D view
- Try to delete fixture using button in device group view -> it doesn't work although it's highlighted - one has to reselect in device group view
Additionally, I would expect the Delete-Key to work anywhere - maybe with a small confirmation dialog. Would that be possible?

Second issue regarding selection sync: when enabling multiple selection, this only applies to 2d/3d view, I would expect it to apply to device group view as well.

Last issue regarding selection sync: Sync missing on startup
Steps to reproduce:
- Restart app
- load a project with fixtures
- select a fixture in 2d/3d view
- open device group view -> no fixture selected there, after reselecting everything works normal again

Tested on:
Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
Linux siegmund-nuc 5.15.0-91-generic #101-Ubuntu SMP Tue Nov 14 13:30:08 UTC 2023 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Intel NUC PC
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Silver J5005 CPU @ 1.50GHz

Shortcuts would be very useful for sure.

Are you talking about the Fixture Groups in the left pane or are you talking about the DMX view?

Yes fixture groups in left pane. Sorry I've been testing with German UI so may not be referring to the correct English terms.
