Note I have not tested with newer QLC+ version yet (but plan to when I return from travel)

Chauvet FXPar9 with firmware version 2.0 (or earlier) - channel 23 - Quad LED dimmer - this slider has no effect on the older Chauvet FXPar9 lights
Channel works as expected on newer lights with firmware v 2.01.

I even tried adjusting every other slider to see if one of them had the same effect as the quad LED dimmer (dims everything) - no luck

I tried various DMX addresses, various lights with same firmware versions. Even having just a single fixture directly connected with DMX channel assigned to 1, new one works fine, old one refuses to dim via master brightness.

This does not relate to QLC+ - if you can see the values in the DMX monitor set, and your light does not respond to it, there is a problem with your fixture.
Do you have a manual for these two firmwares?

So it seems like there needs to be different versions of fixture definitions for the different hardware versions.
