Hi Massimo,
I'm trying to install the downloaded .deb package for Ubuntu and is not installing due to unmet dependencies. It seems that the package depends on some libraries qt 5.15.14 and not the qt 5.15.13 which are the default in Ubuntu 24.04.

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg -i Baixades/qlcplus_4.14.0_amd64.deb

I think I made the mistake of building it with my old PC that doesn't quite have Kubuntu 22.04 but KDE Neon.
They change Qt version like hell and they actually switched to Wayland and Qt 6.
So I'll format it and install Kubuntu 22.04 and re-create the deb package.
In the meantime I think you can install one from the OBS builds?

Hello Massimo, I figured that was the problem.
At the moment the .deb package is not urgent for me, I can wait a few days. The version of OBS Builds does work properly in a quick test I did yesterday.
A few months ago I was in charge of a small theater in my city, where I migrated the Sunlite system to QLC+ on Ubuntu plus my DMX USB and ArtNet devices. The Sunlite USB device does not work with QLC+. It is not urgent because we do not have any theater play, nor event planned in the coming weeks.

And I can always build QLC+ myself all my laptops and the theater laptop are running Kubuntu 24.04.

Sunlite devices (based on SIUDI platform) will never be supported.
It includes proprietary code and when I tried to work with them for an intergration, they had unacceptable requests (be online, paying for output channels, Windows only deploy, etc)
So it's a no-go, sorry

I did some tests with the Sunlite suite and device and decided to migrate everything to QLC+. Even with the Sunlite program, devices other than Sunlite cannot be used, you cannot use USB or ArtNet devices from other brands with Sunlite Suite.
